Just around the corner: The smallest house in Wernigerode! It was built in 1792. The house is 2.95 m wide, its eaves height is only 4.2 m. Even visitors who are not too tall have problems entering this house, because the height of the front door is only 1.7m.
Town Hall Wernigerode
The town hall at that time fell victim to the city fire of 1528. However, the so-called "Spelhus" on the market square survived this fire. The Spelhus was then rebuilt in 1539 and thus also became the new town hall of the city of Wernigerode.
